Gilles & Cecilie Studio + Chelsea Children’s Hospital

Gilles & Cecilie Studio was commissioned by creative agency, Thomas.Mattews, to create designs for multiple wards at the Chelsea Children’s Hospital in London.  Partnering with fellow illustrator, Malika Favre, they developed a visual narrative to interpret Thomas.Matthews’ creative concept of “My Universe.”  The implementation of the concept aimed to enhance a young patient’s experience in the hospital through color and art.  Each ward has its own family of alien characters that complement the the “activity” that takes place there.

Gilles & Cecilie Studio + Pepsi + Sofía Vergara

They then wrapped shots of Sofía with their designs to include her dresses and backgrounds. If you are in New York City these ads are hard to miss, appearing on phone kiosks, taxi tops and on large billboards in Times Square.

Gilles & Cecilie Studio + Bird Nest

Gilles & Cecilie Studio have recently finished a mural at Skullerud Torg in Oslo, Norway. The piece is called “Bird Nest” and depicts some of the over 200 local bird species.  Many of these native magpies and wagtails live nearby around a lake called Østensjøvannet.   If you happen to be in Oslo and would like to visit this wallpainting, take the number 3 tube towards Mortensrud and get off at Skullerud. Gilles & Cecilie Studio + SWIMS

Partnering with galoshes startup, SWIMS, Gilles & Cecilie Studio designed packaging that reflects the busy lifestyle these overshoes allow you to lead. To show the usefulness of the shoes they illustrated the galoshes stepping into puddles and referenced weather forecast graphics throughout the background. Reflections of a metropolitan life in rippling puddles and data on yearly rainfall from cities around the globe help to explain why these shoes are perfect for unpredictable weather and the kinetic energy of an urban lifestyle.
