Gilles & Cecilie + Savoy Hotel Oslo

Gilles & Cecilie Studio was commissioned by Mellbye Architects to create a typographic wall for the lounge area in the Savoy Hotel in Oslo. The lettering is a combination of words cut from wood and hand written text in multiple colors, a combination which creates depth.  The words themselves are inspired by the Radiohead song “Fitter, Happier.”

Gilles & Cecilie Studio + KLP Eiendom

Gilles & Cecilie were recently commissioned by Norwegian communication agency Breakfast to design illustrations for the launch of a new shopping mall, Fornebu S, in Norway in Autumn 2014.

“The people are fashionable and they are doing an activity whether with someone or alone, like listening to music, texting a friend, trying on  a dress or tasting new food. The patterns are abstract, colourful compositions that visualize taste, sound and relevant feeling to the situation they are in. The pattern merge together the individual illustrations to become a repeat.”
