Erik Almås + Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition — Additional Content

After Erik Almås shot the RAM Truck campaign that appeared in the opening pages of the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition he captured some additional images that were only available in the tablet edition of the magazine.   Working with the same models on the same set, Erik was able shoot a dramatically different portfolio of images that were published in black and white.

Erik Almås + RAM Trucks – Behind the Scenes

Erik was commissioned by The Richards Group to shoot a campaign for RAM Trucks that appeared on the first few pages of this year’s “Sports Illustrated — Swimsuit Edition.”  The images show a breadth of environments and were shot across California, Nevada and Hawaii.  Be sure to check out the behind the scenes video below to see Erik in action.

Erik Almås + American Airlines

McCann New York partnered with Erik Almås to shoot the launch campaign for American Airlines’ newly refreshed look and livery.  The images were shot in Los Angeles alongside broadcast and highlight the design of their new fleet which, upon their recently announced merger with US Airways, will be the largest in the world.  These are the first of many images from the campaign, so stay tuned for more work to be released soon!

Erik Almås + ABSOLUT

Erik Almås was commissioned by TBWA\Chiat\Day New York to collaborate on the newest campaign for the iconic brand, ABSOLUT.  Each of these sets were meticulously crafted by New Deal Studios on a small scale, right down to the tiny swirling shot glasses and miniature train.  These fastidious details allowed Erik to create the dramatic feeling of space within these tiny environments.  It’s a tremendous honor for Erik to be included in the elite canon of photographers who have worked with ABSOLUT.  Thank you to Julia Menassa and the creatives at TBWA, New Deal Studios, an everyone at ABSOLUT.

Erik Almås + Credit Suisse (Exclusive Behind the Scenes Video)

Erik recently completed a job in New York City shot for Euro RSCG London and Credit Suisse.  Working with Michael Bednark Studios, Erik had a layered set crafted to emulate a Henri Rousseau painting.  Jerome Griffith, CEO of Tumi, was photographed exploring in this post-expressionist jungle.  Be sure to watch the Behind the Scenes video below.

Erik Almås Receives Judges Choice in ASMP Image12

The winners for the ASMP Image12 awards were just announced and Erik Almås was picked as a ‘Judges choice.’  The image below, originally shot for Genlux Magazine on the Brooklyn Bridge, was selected by Mark Sobier, Global Creative Director of Y&R.
