Braschler/Fischer was busy traveling this past month with their son Elias to complete the final segment of a project of shooting portraits that highlight the effects of the massive 2010 Haitian earthquake. After landing in Port-au-Prince, they traveled to an area that regularly hit by hurricanes, Grand Riviere, to shoot further portraits. Braschler/Fischer also visited a family in Carrefour where they interviewed and photographed Melida, a mother of six who lost her home and husband in the disaster. Later in Saline, they met Victor, a successful Voodoo priest who showed them the remains of his home.
