Julia Fullerton-Batten + Prix HSBC Pour La Photographie + Visionarea Art Space

Julia received the Prix HSBC pour la Photographie Award in 2007. To commemorate the festival’s 20th year anniversary, Julia was asked to answer a few questions regarding the award that enabled her to publish her first monograph “Teenage Stories”.

Julia is also having a solo exhibition for her “Korea” project at Visionarea Art Space in Rome. The exhibition is curated by Clara Tosi Pamphili and opens today May 28th through Sept 10th.

We are pleased to announce that three VAUGHAN HANNIGAN photographers were included in this year’s 2015 PDN Photo Annual.  An image Mark Zibert shot for Adidas “It’s Blue. What Else Matters?” campaign was chosen for their “Best in Advertising” category. Floto+Warner’s Colourant series was chosen for “Best in Personal Projects.” Julia Fullerton-Batten’s promo was included in their “Best in Self-Promotion” category. Julia Fullerton-Batten + Sony World Photography Awards

The Sony World Photography Awards recently announced the shortlist for their 2015 competition and Julia Fullerton-Batten was one of 35 photographers to make the list. This photo was taken in an open shower in Caribbean Bay at Everland, the largest theme park in Korea.

Martin Schoeller + National Geographic + Kayapo Tribe

Martin Schoeller traveled to the plain islands of the Mato Grosso and Pará in Brazil to photograph the Kayapo tribe for National Geographic’s 2014 January cover. This cover, showing a young member of the Kayapo in the Amazon, was among those honored with a National Magazine Award for best photography.

Erik Almås & Floto + Warner in IPA 2014

In this year’s International Photography Awards, Erik Almås received 2nd place in the Advertising Category and was included in their traveling “Best of Show” exhibition.  For the Fine Art – Landscape Category, Floto+Warner received 3rd place for their Colourant series.  The 2014 IPA was curated by David Clarke, Head of Photography at Tate Gallery in London. The show will be moving throughout Europe and Asia after a stop in New York City.

Mark Zibert + Graphis + 2015 Photo Annual

Mark’s work was recently featured in Graphis’ 2015 Photo Annual Submission Spotlight. On the left below, Mark photographed Canadian author, poet and environmental activist, Margaret Atwood,  for Bullett Magazine which, he submitted to this year’s Photo Annual. On the right is an image from “Luck,” which Mark shot for Applied Arts Magazine. The series received a Gold award in the 2013 Photography Annual and was used on the cover.

Gilles & Cecilie Studio + Visuelt Award

Gilles & Cecilie Studio was recently awarded the Diploma Award for their SWIMS “The Metronome of Walking” ad spot. The Visuelt Awards are hosted by Grafill – The Norwegian Organization for Visual Communication, a non-profit organization for graphic designers, illustrators, animators, cartoonists and interactive designers working within visual communication in Norway.
